Terms of Service
Effective September 1, 2026
These terms govern Workwise: the website and the Chrome extension. They are an agreement between you and Kenca Group LLC. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. The Privacy Policy is part of how we describe the service; it is not replaced by these terms.
1. The service
Workwise helps you track an hourly equivalent of an amount across your workdays and keep logins in an encrypted vault. One account works on this website and in the Chrome extension. We can change features, pause the service, or shut it down.
2. Accounts
You need a valid email and a password of at least eight characters. That password signs you in and encrypts the vault on your device. You can also use Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or Continue with phone to confirm who you are; the vault password is still required and still encrypts the vault. Creating an account with email requires a unique confirmation code we email to that address; no account exists until that code is entered. Google or Apple can confirm the address instead of that email code. Continue with phone sends a one-time SMS code, then you still choose or enter the vault password. You can turn on email sign-in codes in Settings; we then email a unique one-time code after your password on later visits. You can reset a forgotten password with a unique code we email to that address; the new password signs you in but does not recover vault data encrypted with the old password. You can change the sign-in email after we confirm the new address; changing email does not re-encrypt the vault. You are responsible for keeping the password secret and for activity on your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it. We may close accounts that we reasonably believe are abusive, unlawful, or a risk to other users.
3. Electronic records and signatures (E-Sign Consent)
You agree that we may provide these terms, the Privacy Policy, account notices, and related records electronically, and that we do not have to send paper copies unless the law requires it.
You agree that clicking “Create account,” checking the agreement box, or otherwise accepting these terms is your electronic signature. That signature has the same effect as a handwritten signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and similar e-sign laws.
You need a device, a current browser, and a way to keep an electronic copy (download or print this page). You can withdraw this consent by deleting your account and stopping use of the service. Withdrawal does not undo agreements you already made. If you want a paper copy, print this page or use the contact form.
4. Your vault
Login secrets, secure notes, and secrets are encrypted on your device before they are stored or synced. We cannot read your vault passwords, notes, or one-time codes. If you forget your password, we cannot recover the plaintext vault. A password reset lets you sign in again; it does not decrypt data that was encrypted with the old password. A copy may remain on a device until you delete it there.
If you email a note or secret, you choose the recipients and the unlock time. We send each person their own link. You can cancel the share before the scheduled time. After it unlocks, the recipient can read that item. Do not share material you do not have the right to send.
Website fill in the extension can read login fields on pages you visit, fill saved credentials when you ask — including from a keyboard shortcut or the page’s right-click menu — and offer to save a login after you sign in. You can turn that off in Settings. The Workwise site itself is skipped so this account is not saved twice.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service only for your own lawful rate tracking and password management. Do not try to break in, overload the service, scrape it, or use it to store or share material you do not have the right to handle. Do not use it to violate another person’s privacy or any applicable law.
6. Our rights
Kenca Group LLC owns Workwise, including the name, mark, and software. You get a limited, revocable license to use it for your personal or internal business use. You do not get a right to copy, reverse engineer, or resell it except as the law allows. We may assign these terms in a sale or reorganization of the business. A transfer of your account data in that event is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is.” We do not promise uninterrupted access, that rate figures are suitable for payroll or tax filings, or that the vault cannot be compromised on a device you control. You are responsible for backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Kenca Group LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for a claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change affects how we handle user data, the website and the Chrome extension will show that change in the product before the new practice applies, as described in the Privacy Policy. Other changes apply to later use after the date at the top. We may end access if you breach these terms or if we shut the service down. You may stop at any time by deleting your account, signing out, and removing the extension and any local vault copy.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court needs a specific state, the state of organization of Kenca Group LLC applies. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
11. Contact
Kenca Group LLC. For these terms, use the contact form on this website, which is also the support channel for the Workwise Chrome Web Store listing.
